“...making a difference in the world...”
I have to ask, how funny is it that someone who runs a bike shop has the last name of Wheeler? Having a tune-up, knowing my bike is now safe, and getting such awesome service is a win-win-win situtuation...or is it Schwinn-Schwinn-Schwinn? It's great to see dedication to making a difference in the world, one bike at a time. Thanks, PercyCycles, for your help and for your work as alternative transportation advocates! Pedal on!

“...passionate and dedicated to his work...”
I’ve known Percy Wheeler for years, and as the owner of a number of bicycles I feel very fortunate to be able to rely on him for solid repairs, parts, and occasional advice. He has always taken the time to find just the right component for my budget, to do the work right the first time, and when possible, patiently provides me with the right instruction for a simple repair or rebuild. Whenever I’m in the shop, I feel like an old friend and a valued customer.
Aside from his expert service and knowledge, his commitment to biking and its role in the community is what really sets him apart. It’s obvious that he is doing what he loves first and foremost, and not just working a day job. It’s a pleasure to know someone who is so passionate and dedicated to his work, and I feel lucky to have such a resource just down the street.

“...serenity...”
Percy Wheeler is doing his part to move Portland from the insanity of four wheels to the serenity of two.

“...always a joy to see him...”
For many years, I have known Percy. He has an exuberance for life and a huge heart. It is always a joy to see him and do business with him. If I had to summarize in a short sentence what I thought about Percy - a wonderful human being with a great heart always looking to help someone less fortunate than himself. If he were running for an office, he would be my number one choice for a great candidate (and human being!)

“...consistently friendly,
personalized service...”
I am always referring my biking friends and acquaintances to Percy Cycles. I have a made-to-order bike from Percy that I'm really enjoying. But it's about more than the bike; it's about the consistently friendly, personalized service.

“...the highest level of service available...”
I have really enjoyed doing business with Percy Cycles for a number of reasons, most of which is Percy himself. Percy helped my son rebuild a vintage bicycle that my son picked from the trash. What really got built was not only a bicycle but my son’s knowledge, expertise with bicycles, and most importantly, self esteem. Percy took the extra time and added the enthusiasm that was necessary to make a dirty project a great deal of fun. If you like to deal with a person who enjoys what he is doing and enjoys teaching others about what he is doing and will offer you the highest level of service available, try Percy’s Cycles.

“...the first bike...that actually feels right...”
Percy built a bike for me that fits me perfectly!  It's the first bike I've ever had that actually feels right.  Thank you, Percy:)
